I can login to OneDrive just fine, but maybe OneNote tries to connect to somewhere else upon startup. Hello folks, after this I tried removing the credentials, then making internet explorer my default browser, and logging in to ie using my microsoft password. Then I double clicked the onenote file in my onedrive, clicked "open in onenote" and entered my microsoft password. Then I was able to start onenote and have it bring up my notebook successfully.
Seems like microsoft must not have fully tested this with various configurations After I did this procedure, I was able to make Chrome my default browser again. I didn't do anything since earlier today. But now it opened up with no problems. Perhaps the server was just down for a while. If this reverts everything back to normal, try running a clean on your browser to remove any browser hijackers or PUPs that might be impairing your browser's performance.
