It does have a sticker on the machine that has the license key but it's for windows 8 and no In reply to jrteeter3's post on June 4, You'll have to get a new license key as a windows 8 key does not work for Windows But you can definitely install windows and get to the product key page without having one.
DaveM Independent Advisor. Hi jrteeter3, that will be no problem, you can skip the steps for inserting a Product key, once you boot from the Windows 10 Installation Media. You can reinstall Windows 10 at any time and it will not cost you anything! You should just clean install Windows 10 rather than upgrading from Windows 8. This will have 2 benefits, if you have to reset again, it will reset to Windows 10, not 8. Since you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers Make sure you install the same Edition of Windows 10 Home, Pro.
